The most common answers (33–390 mentions)
- 6-7 / 67 / 6/7 / “Six-Seven” — The absolute word of the year, usually shouted in a specific voice accompanied by hand movements or gestures (e.g., pinching thumb and finger). Many teachers report finding it highly repetitive and annoying.
- Cooked / Cooking — Dual-use term. To be “cooked” means to be ruined, in deep trouble, or having failed. Conversely, to be “cooking” means performing exceptionally well or doing something great.
- Bro / Bruh / Bruv / Brah / Bra — Traditional peer terms that have seen a massive resurgence. Many teachers note that students now put “bro” at the end of literally every sentence.
- Aura / Aura Farming / Aura Points — Refers to someone’s cool factor, charisma, or social standing. “Aura farming” or “collecting aura” refers to doing things to gain respect, while “losing aura” means being embarrassed.
- Rizz / Riz / Rizzy — Short for charisma, particularly in romantic or persuasive contexts.
- Lock in / Locked in — Concentrating deeply, focusing, or getting serious about a task.
- Skibidi (including Skibidi Toilet) — Nonsensical slang derived from a viral YouTube animation series. Used as a general modifier or meaningless exclamation.
- Clock it — Tapping index finger and thumb together or making a pinching gesture, representing agreement, understanding, or noting something that just happened.
