How Every Extra Tapper Helps Us See the Bigger Picture

15 July 2025

Hello, Tappsters!

Three quick questions a day. That’s it. But when thousands of teachers from across the country answer, we don’t just get opinions — we get powerful insights.

You might have seen our new referrals campaign and thought it was just all about getting more teachers tapping – and you’re not wrong! But there is a reason behind our desire to grow…

It’s not just the numbers

The more diverse the panel, the better the results. We want teachers from every subject and key stage, with different years of experience, and across all regions.

Why? It’s not just numbers — it’s what those numbers can be broken down into.

The Power of the Breakdowns

Yes, it’s always useful when we can compare results between primary and secondary teachers — but it’s even better when we can dig deeper and make more detailed comparisons.

By growing the number of Tappers, we can explore:

📍 Regional differences – What’s happening in the North East vs the South West?
🏫 Phase-specific insights – KS1 vs KS2 vs secondary vs special schools
🧪 Subject-level detail – CPD needs, workload, curriculum pressures
📈 Career stage trends – How do early-career teachers compare to long-serving colleagues?

With more teachers from every subject and phase, we can uncover insights like how views on homework vary between maths, English, and art teachers — and how those views shift between early-career staff and those with 20+ years in the classroom.

When just a few EYFS or KS1 teachers respond, it’s hard to draw conclusions. But when thousands tap in? We can spot patterns, test assumptions, and tell a richer story.

Crossing questions

And it gets even better — the more teachers who join the panel, the more we can cross-reference questions and dig into fascinating patterns. Like this: how do school mobile phone policies affect classroom disruption?

As Teacher Tapp grows, we’ll be able to uncover even more of these valuable insights — and use them to spotlight what teachers really need to thrive in schools.

More eyes 👀

Some of our best questions were shaped by teachers who pointed out that the wording didn’t quite land in their subject or setting.

When more people answer, we see where a question didn’t quite work, and improve it. Every new teacher who joins means better designsharper insights, and richer commentary.

What can you do?

To help us in our quest, you can invite teachers to join the app! Use the referral code in your app to invite your friends or send them: onelink.to/teachertapp
